An update
We have experienced our first little "bump" in the road in the Escrow process. We were told that in order for our loan to be funded the pool needed to be filled with water and there needed to be a stove by Monday the 21st when the appraiser would be out there to check it. Escrow was supposed to close on the 20th and we signed a document stating that we would have to pay $150 each day it stays open after the 20th. Our loan officer told us she needed until the 30th now. That means we would have to pay $1500 to escrow. We went to bed that night a little stressed but we prayed and were able to get some sleep. The next morning Dan fasted at work and I said another prayer and soon after we heard back from our realtor. He told us that he was able to get the bank to fix the pool for us but we would have to purchase a stove and get it into the house before Monday. The best news he told us was that he was able to get Escrow extended to the 30th with no penalties! When Dan called to tell me this the first thing he said was "the church is true!". Dan was able to leave work early yesterday so we could go out shopping for a new stove. We went to the Sear's outlet and were able to find an amazing deal. We found a kenmore gas range originally $1399 for $299. We couldn't believe it and are so thankful that our prayers were heard and answered yesterday. SO... on Sunday Dan is going to install the range and hopefully the bank has done their part of filling up the pool so that escrow will close on time. The realtor said that hopefully if all goes well it will close next Friday. That would be great so that we could move Saturday with help from church. We won't have the week and a half to fix the house up like we would have liked before needing to leave our apartment but my parents don't live far from our new house so we will be staying with them while we install the floors, paint and clean up the house.

The Power Of Prayer! It's amazing how well it works! It's also amazing how quickly we sometimes forget to use it. Instead we stress and try to do stuff on our own then it's like, "Oh Yeah! Prayer!". How exciting for you guys. Everything will work out.
wow, you guys are really blessed! Thanks for sharing that story, it really is inspirational!
What a ride! I feel for you during the escrow period - it can be stressful - but how awesome that everything is falling in place (and that your prayers were answered!!!) It's SO exciting for your family and there is so much more to look forward to as you settle in to your home! I loved you sharing Dan's response when he called and said that "the church is true!" - that was classic - and a side of Dan (humor-wise) that I haven't seen (not that I would doubt good humor, but he's always been so quite to me!!!) What a fantastic turn of events!!!
yay for prayer! Yay for Sears outlet (i'm totally jealous by the way, we are having to fork out for a new fridge because our 10-month old white one doesn't match the appliances in the new house-yuck).
Good luck with the move. We are in the middle of one ourselves. Never fun; even when you are moving somewhere you are excited to go to.
