Christmas

Christmas was wonderful as always. We woke up to Hannah blowing the bugle horn saying, "Christmas is here! Christmas is here!" So we woke Elisabeth up and Daddy got the video camera ready and the girls ran out to see that Santa came! Santa brought Elisabeth a tricycle and Hannah a fur real cat. He also brought them both a playhouse! It was a memorable and fun morning for us but unfortunately I didn't get many pictures, but we did get it all on video.

Once we realized that we didn't take any pictures, we had already opened all the presents. Elisabeth was napping but we grabbed Hannah and had her pose with her snuggie (which she has wanted FOREVER) and her fur real cat from Santa.

Around lunch time Nana and Papa and Auntie Kim, Uncle Mick and the girls came over to our house to exchange gifts and visit. I made my Dad applesauce cake and wrapped it up in a shirt box just like Grandma Dot used to.

I think he liked it, although it wasn't her exact recipe because we can't find it anywhere. :(

We gave a family picture of us to Nana and Papa and to Grandma and Grandpa this year. Here is my Mom opening hers.

Elisabeth woke up from her nap while they were at our house, a little bit too early, and was a bit grumpy.

I had to help her open up her presents, unlike earlier in the morning when she was so excited to do it herself.

She finally "woke up" and was happily playing with her new play house. Thank you Santa!

We gave Hannah a guitar for Christmas, she can't wait til she can start taking lessons

Here is Elisabeth with the Bugle horn, this is one of my Mom's decorations and we had it ever since I can remember. We used to play it all the time when we were younger and it was fun to see my girls doing the same thing.

Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas dinner and to exchange gifts.

Aunt Andi gave Elisabeth these adorable Minnie Mouse sunglasses

Merry Christmas 2009!
